moxie fab tuesday trigger

I have been oh so busy working on my goals for the next year. I don't know when I have been this excited for the new year. So in between working on goals and cleaning my studio I finished up this card today for this weeks moxie fab tuesday trigger. This weeks inspiration came from Linda Beeson and her bathroom. Dang but I wished my bathroom looked this good. I am definitely diggin' the black. So here goes with my interpretation......

I was going for a more manly look as this card is intended for a soldier who has recently come home. I stamped the new row of houses from hero arts in black and cut each one out to give it a bit of definition.  I stamped a separate row in green and cut out one of the houses and popped it up on a dimensional. The black & white paper is from papertrey ink.
I am off to finish up what I started today.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

all creatures great & small

Hello!! I just wanted to share a quick post for the moxie fab blog challenge called all creatures great and small. I originally made this card for the tuesday trigger but felt that it fit in more for the creatures great & small challenge.... especially when I saw this plate from crate & barrel that Cath put on her blog.....

I mean it was weird!! I couldn't have planned it any better even though it was supposed to be for something else! I went to the moxie fab blog to upload my card for the tuesday trigger but no...  it was not meant to be for that one! As soon as I saw the crate & barrel plate I knew it was meant for this one!! Cool!
Anyway.. lots of papertrey ink goodness on this.... I used take a bough but decided I like the branch in out on a limb better... they are the same branch but the take a bough one is bigger. I just used the pine leaves that are separate in the set and stamped each one, first in new leaf and then again in spring moss. The ornaments and the birds (from Christmas friends) are stamped in pure poppy as is the sentiment (from 2009 holiday tags). The ornament hangers are stamped in smokey shadow. I them just ran it thru my cuttlebug with the largest spellbinders square die with the embossing mat under neath to make a nice embossed line around the image. It is a really fast one layer card and I really like the way it turned out ...... I'm off to go shopping!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

cps 145

Thought I would play along this week with the cps sketch #145. At first I was thrown off with the star but when I was doing another project with these snowflakes I got at the dollar tree I thought "hey this will work with that sketch"! The flakes are made of plastic and are real lacy looking. I already had the aqua mist buttons & cardstock picked out and I have been wanting to use this sheet of paper from my minds eye that I picked up a few weeks ago. So basically this card came together very quickly. I used a white card base and cut the mme paper a tad bit smaller. I layered an aqua mist piece punch with the upper crest border punch in the middle with berry sorbet gro grain over that with a piece of lace over that! Whew!! I then added a few aqua mist buttons on either side and one large one in the middle of the snowflake. The tag is cut from a martha stewart punch with silver glitter making memories letters and tied with twine on the button. It looks way better in real life. I am going to cut it short here as I am headed out the door, but once again... Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

moxie fab tuesday trigger

After much busy-ness last week I decided I would check the moxie fab blog this week and see what the tuesday trigger for this was........
Oh what a beautiful patchwork stocking done in...yikes.... RED! Some of you may know but just in case you don't I will tell you now.. I am red challenged! I don't like the color red. I never have and I have tried to like it. One time I even bought a red dress and I wore it twice then out the door it went. So this was definitely a challenge and this is what I came up with......

Not too bad for working with a color that isn't me. All products are from papertrey ink except for the snowflakes.. I punched the big one from my martha stewart punch and the two small ones are from a cuttlebug die. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
