card patterns sketch #20

Happy Thursday!! It is almost the weekend and I am looking forward to this weekend... not for any particular reason.. just to relax for a day or two, work in my yard (if it doesn't rain!!) and get ready for my yard sale in a couple of weeks.

Here is my take on the cardpatterns sketch this week and I really stretched it!! I didn't want to do the traditional scallops, so I cut out a bunch of curly frames on my cricut with the storybook cartridge and used them as my "scallops". As for the flower ma-gig, I used stamps from hero arts and stamped my floral image using stampin up's watercolor crayons. I was playing around with glitter the other day and had a bunch of these butterflies glitterfied, so thought I would used them on this card. I had a lot of fun making this card.. made me feel like I was back in art class!! I have all the details in the recipe below. I need to clean my stamp room now as there is glitter everywhere!!! I tried sooo hard to not make a mess too!!! I really think it is impossible to use glitter and not make a mess no matter how hard you try!!!
