Get Sketchy #55

It's Friday and time for Get Sketchy!! Our sponsor this week is the greeting farm and we were given a couple of digital images to work with.  Here is this weeks sketch.............................

And here is my take................................................

I flipped the sketch and used the cute little duck image that was given to us. I colored it with colored pencils as copics will smear on printer ink. I used cosmo cricket delovely paper along with a scrap of paper that I stamped polka dots on. The letters are some I had in my stash and the ribbon is from Papertrey ink. There you have it.... come on over to Get Sketchy and play along.....

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Get Sketchy #54

It's Friday and time for Get Sketchy! this week sponsor is Janlynn and the winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate. Here is this weeks sketch..............................

And here is my take....................................

I know at first glance it doesn't look like the sketch but let me 'splain. I wanted to use this swingin' baby stamp that I received from Janlynn so I knew I had to flip the sketch and instead of using rectangles I used two clouds and the baby. Pretty clever I thought. Even my man was impressed. SO what I am saying is you can get very creative with the sketches. Come on over to Get Sketchy and play along!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

Get Sketchy #51

It's Friday and that means it's time for Get Sketchy! Here is this weeks sketch...........

And here is my take................................................

I used my new papertrey ink cha set to mimic three of the circles and used an oval instead of a circle for the fourth one. The patterned papers are digital downloaded papers from the color couture line from papertrey ink. Need new paper in an instant??? This is the way to go for sure.

I'm off to enjoy my Friday. Have a good one and thanks for looking!!

Hello again!!! It's Friday and you know what that means....... it's Get Sketchy time!!! Here is this weeks sketch...................

And here is my take...........................................

I loved this weeks sketch!!! Well I love all of the sketches but I really really liked this one and had a lot of fun playing around with it. I used some scraps in my stash for the triangles along with another one of Martha Stewart's doily tags. I stamped one of the images from the Papertrey ink anniversary set along with one of the sentiments and punched out to layer over the doily. I stamped and cut out two butterflies (also from the set), added a couple of pearls and adhered them to the focal point. So get on over to Get Sketchy and play along....

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Hi all!! It's Friday and that means it's Get Sketchy time!! Here is this weeks sketch................................

And here is my take......................................

I used some yummy basic grey's green at heart patterned paper for the bottom. I layered that over a white card stock base that I ran thru my cuttle bug with the linen impression plate from papertrey ink. The simply chartreuse green was run thru the cuttle bug also with Provo crafts Victoria embossing folder. To top it off I used one of Martha Stewart's doily tags and add a couple of punched leaves and three of these awesome rolled flowers that Betsy did on her blog here.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Woo Hoo it's Friday and that means it''s Get Sketchy time!! Our sponsor this week is the Eyelet Factory. On to the sketch...............................................

I really liked this sketch because of it's simplicity. I totally love what the other girls did with and it is so amazing how we all interpret the sketches. I have been on this love affair with aqua mist lately and my card today is no exception.........................................

I also broke open my new simply chartreuse card stock from Papertrey ink.
I am lovin' this color lots! I cut out the little flowers from some My Minds Eye patterned paper. The leaf is stamped with versamark onto the aqua mist card stock. I tied each piece of twine in a bow and adhered it to my card stock and then used a glue dot to adhere the flower on top of the twine. I also made this card in a one layer version..........................

Sorry about the lighting..... the sun can't make up it's mind what it wants to do :)  So there you have it..... go and give the sketch a try!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Hi all!! Sorry for the late post............. I try to have my Get Sketchy posts done in advance but a couple of personal things got in the way. So with out further adieu..... here is this weeks sketch.............................

And here is my take.....................................

Our challenge this week was to make a father's day card. I don't make very many masculine cards so I tend to keep them simple when I do. I used papertrey ink's Through the Trees set for the tree and birds and the sentiment is from the Masculine Motifs set. The wood grained patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket.

And I am off................... thanks so  much for looking and have a great day!!

I chose to keep it simple and just work with a dino rub-on from The Robins Nest. I used the "dude you rock" sentiment from the signature greetings set from papertrey ink. The wood grain stamp is from Wplus9 Design Studio's Wood grain Silhouettes. I used my rick rac die from papertrey ink for the felt. Love that die!!

Happy Friday all!! Well you know the drill..... it's Get Sketchy time!!! Here's the sketch...............

We got to work with these awesome chalk board stickers from Deco bugs. You are supposed to be able to write on them with chalk like a real chalkboard. Well wouldn't you know it I didn't have any chalk in my house. So what is a girl to do.......umm.... fake it!! I stamped my image with Papertrey ink's vintage cream ink right onto the sticker and wouldn't you know it, it looks like chalk!! I was afraid to heat stamp the sticker so I just let it set for a few hours before assembling it to my card. I used my "Round & Round" set again and for the sentiment I used the Thank You from "Say it with Style" and the leaf stamp is from "Turning a New Leaf". I used some October Afternoon paper for the background and a piece of Websters Pages for the panel. I tied it all together with some of that lucious ruffle ribbon found here

Hope you come and give the sketch a try!!!

Later friends..........

It's Friday and time for another Get Sketchy Sketch. Our sponsor this week is Sunshine Digital stamps and we were given a couple of images to work with. First this weeks sketch....................................

And here is my take...................................................

We were given a couple of different car images to play with. The images were either already colored or a black & white image that you could color.  I chose to color my own to make it match my paper better. I used the new dotty biscotti paper from Papertrey ink and I have to tell you it is way better in person. I love it!!!! The sentiment is from the new masculine motifs from pti. I cut out the road by hand and used a white gel pen to draw the lines.

Sorry I've been so sporatic lately...... life has just been CRAZY!!!!

Here is this weeks sketch..........................

Here's what I came up with....................................

I am making this short & sweet today....... The images are from the Cutting Cafe and the patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Green at Heart line. I made a little ribbon border from the silk ribbon from papertrey ink and added a couple of buttons tied with twine. Simple & sweet!

Don't forget today is the last day to vote over on the Get Sketchy blog for your favorite designer contest using creative charms products. Thanks so much for all of you who voted for my cards... I am truly grateful!

Hi all!! It's Friday and ya all know what that means......... it's Get Sketchy time!!! Our sponsor this week is Hot of The Press (HOTP) and this weeks winner will win a nice prize package of goodies.
Here is this weeks sketch..............................

And here is my take..........................................

I went for a soft vintage feel here. I used paper from HOTP for my background and my butterflies. I cut my half circle out after I used a plate to trace a half circle.... I know primitive but I gave my coluzzle to a friend thinking I would never use it again:) The scallops are actually 3/4" punched circles and then adhered under the half circle. I used Paper trey ink's background basics text style II to stamp a slight background on my half circle. The tag that I stamped the sentiment on is from one of the tag sheets from HOTP. I just cut it out and stamped my sentiment.
That's it for now.............
Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

It's Friday and time for another Get Sketchy sketch. The sponsor for this week is Wags & Whiskers rubber stamps. So here is this weeks sketch...........................

And here is my take.......................................

I used the best friends forever digi stamp from wags & whiskers. I printed her first on stampers select white from Paper trey ink and then a second time on a piece of patterned paper from October Afternoon so I could paper piece her dress. I colored the rest of her and her bear with copics. I cut out a couple of hearts and used an embossing folder from Sizzix to give them texture. The aqua gingham paper is from October Afternoon. The sentiment is from Paper trey ink's Spiral Bouquet stamp set.

I will come back later and add the links..... I injured my eye today and am having a hard time seeing!!:)
