Get Sketchy #56

Well it's Friday and that means it's time for Get Sketchy!! My design team term is officially over but I can still play along as Alumni. I really wanted to stay on the design team but I have a few things coming up and was afraid I couldn't keep the commitment. Anyway on to the sketch.......................................

I absolutely LOVED the sketch this week. It has soooo many possibilities I had a hard time trying to decide what I wanted to do. Make sure you get on over to the Get Sketchy Blog and see what the design team came up with. Here is my card.........................................

I ordered some new Prima stuff a couple of weeks ago and decided to use them on this card. The little girl stamp is from Prima also. I was so happy that they came out with 6x6 pads of paper I was jumpin' for joy!!! I ran the card base thru my cuttlebug with Papertrey ink's guidelines impression plate. the sentiment is from pti's embellishments stamp set. Get on over to Get Sketchy and play along!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Cardabilities #11

I can't hardly believe it is the 15th of the month already!!! What happened to summer????  Ours certainly was waayyy too short. So on to the Cardabilities sketch#11 reveal. Here is the sketch..................................

And here is my take.................................................

I haven't bought much patterned paper lately but when I saw the new Crate Paper restoration line I HAD to have it. The colors are be-ute! My favorite line this fall so far. I just cute a couple of strips and die cut the mat for the main image with Papertrey ink's Mat Stack die #4, layered a vintage cream square with corners rounded on top and added one of the flower chip board accents. The sentiment is from the all about you set from Papertrey ink. The kraft card base is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder that I picked up at Craft Warehouse.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Get Sketchy #54

It's Friday and time for Get Sketchy! this week sponsor is Janlynn and the winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate. Here is this weeks sketch..............................

And here is my take....................................

I know at first glance it doesn't look like the sketch but let me 'splain. I wanted to use this swingin' baby stamp that I received from Janlynn so I knew I had to flip the sketch and instead of using rectangles I used two clouds and the baby. Pretty clever I thought. Even my man was impressed. SO what I am saying is you can get very creative with the sketches. Come on over to Get Sketchy and play along!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

Get Sketchy #51

It's Friday and that means it's time for Get Sketchy! Here is this weeks sketch...........

And here is my take................................................

I used my new papertrey ink cha set to mimic three of the circles and used an oval instead of a circle for the fourth one. The patterned papers are digital downloaded papers from the color couture line from papertrey ink. Need new paper in an instant??? This is the way to go for sure.

I'm off to enjoy my Friday. Have a good one and thanks for looking!!

randomness

Hi all! I know I have been a very BAD blogger this summer but it just seems like it has been one thing or another I have to get done that the ole' blog just gets neglected. Besides new floors I have decided to paint our kitchen since it has been awhile and I have been trying to pick out the colors I want to do it in. I found three of those old blue ball jars at a yard sale for 5 bucks for all of them so I am thinking of doing my kitchen in a white and add color with dishes and such. So since you put up with my rambling I will leave you a card I did for one of the card patterns sketches a couple of weeks ago and never got it posted.

Isn't this just the cutest baby card ever??? I had a special someone in mind when I created this and she just had a baby boy.
I am off so have a great day and thanks for looking.

I loved this weeks sketch!!! Well I love all of the sketches but I really really liked this one and had a lot of fun playing around with it. I used some scraps in my stash for the triangles along with another one of Martha Stewart's doily tags. I stamped one of the images from the Papertrey ink anniversary set along with one of the sentiments and punched out to layer over the doily. I stamped and cut out two butterflies (also from the set), added a couple of pearls and adhered them to the focal point. So get on over to Get Sketchy and play along....

get sketchy #43

Woo Hoo it's Friday and that means it''s Get Sketchy time!! Our sponsor this week is the Eyelet Factory. On to the sketch...............................................

I really liked this sketch because of it's simplicity. I totally love what the other girls did with and it is so amazing how we all interpret the sketches. I have been on this love affair with aqua mist lately and my card today is no exception.........................................

I also broke open my new simply chartreuse card stock from Papertrey ink.
I am lovin' this color lots! I cut out the little flowers from some My Minds Eye patterned paper. The leaf is stamped with versamark onto the aqua mist card stock. I tied each piece of twine in a bow and adhered it to my card stock and then used a glue dot to adhere the flower on top of the twine. I also made this card in a one layer version..........................

Sorry about the lighting..... the sun can't make up it's mind what it wants to do :)  So there you have it..... go and give the sketch a try!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

cps 169

Second Post for the day!!!

I had a bit of extra time this week so thought I would play with the CPS sketch #169. I ordered the new cosmo cricket "Delovely" chipboard die cuts and  6X6 paper pad and I got them in the mail yesterday and when I saw the cute little rainbow I knew I had to use this for the sketch.

Here is the sketch.........................................

I am totally devoting this card to all of you out there who have had nothing but rain the last few weeks:)  Seriously!!! We have had rain EVERYDAY for the last three weeks or so. I have not even been able to get my garden planted! URG!! I am soooo wishing for sunshine!! So here is my card............

Is this fitting or what??!! In addition to the Cosmo stuff I used the new sun from the papertrey ink set Up & Away. I so adore this set! The flower stems are from pti's blooming button bits set. This was such a fun card to make and a bit out of my element as I usually don't use many chipboard die cuts. This collections colors are very bright & cheery. I really didn't think I would like it but when I saw it IRL I fell in love.

I'm off friends........

As always Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!
