Cps130 goes shabby chic

Happy Friday!!! I am looking forward to the weekend.... I get to go to the "big city" for some new supplies and I am so excited. I am going to Michael's and Craft Warehouse for new paper, punches and I really want a corner chomper... I'm tired of wearing out those little corner punches. Does anyone have a corner chomper and do you like it??? I'm sure there will be some things not on my list that I won't be able to pass up. And of course I will "need" to go to the mall! I don't get to go shopping very often so I like to make the most of it!!
I made this card for the cps sketch #130 and it has a real shabby chic feel to it. I used a few scraps for this one along with the flower images from the everyday button bits set ( I know....again!!). I will put all the supplies at the bottom of the post to save time. I really appreciate each one of you who take the time to stop by. I am still working on my picture taking skills and this card is a tad bit brighter than it looks. I envy those who take perfect pics and get the color right.... that is my struggle now. If you have any tips I'll be grateful!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

mojo monday 101

Hi there!!! I stayed up last night and made a total mess of my studio and I had a blast!! I made a couple of cards and have a few half done. My attention kept wandering to one product after another and I couldn't just settle on one thing!! Does any one else have this problem? I think it was just the fact that I had a couple of hours all to myself and I didn't know what to do!!! No interuptions!!! That was a miracle!! I finished this card for this weeks mojo monday. I love Julee's sketches but I don't always have time to do each one. This weeks sketch just talked to me and it came together so quick... even with the stitching!! This was the first time I used the cherry image from the everyday button bits from papertrey ink. Can I say again how much I love this set?!! So many possibilities! On to my card...... I'm going to keep it simple... all the details are at the end of the post.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

raspberry suite #15 goes clean & simple

HI all!! Hope you had a great weekend! I didn't do much but go to yard sales and hang around the house. I even finished my raspberry suite challenge early!!! I have about three cards going with this color scheme...I absolutely loved these colors together! ANNNDD I used the in bloom set AGAIN!! I just can't get over the endless possibilities of this set!! Between this set and the button bits set all the others are just sitting on my desk waiting for their turn. I went for a clean and simple take this time... I stamped the large and medium flower with hibiscus on vintage cream cardstock and cut out. I stamped the sentiment in both melon berry and hibiscus. I stamped the leaves in spring moss right on to the piece of vintage cream with the sentiment. I layered the flowers over the leaves with dimensional. I added a melon berry, hibiscus & spring moss button under the sentiment and layered this onto a melon berry mat and then layered onto a vintage cream card. Simple! I know I've said it before but I am sooo in love with this set!! I just wish it had more sentiments with that cool swirly font!! Well I'm off to finish some more projects while I'm on a roll!!
PS>>> thanks for bearing with me on the photos... I'm trying to get the hang of my new camera!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

cardpatterns#28

Hi there!! Happy Wednesday!! I had a great time out of town and I actually got a few things accomplished. Here is my take on cardpatterns sketch #28. I have had this done for a couple of days but I got my new camera friday before I left and I haven't had time to play with it until today. I definitely have to get used to it but the picture is better than they have been!!! I have a lot to learn about this camera!!! Hope you are not sick of me using the in bloom set from papertrey ink . This flower calls my name!! I stamped the large bloom three times with vintage cream ink onto berry sorbet cardstock. Cut out each layer and adhered them together with dimensionals. I also stamped the flower in berry sorbet ink onto vintage cream cardstock to give a little background behind the flower. I used the damask designs set to stamp the damask border in berry sorbet ink onto vintage cream cardstock. I layered these alternately with berry sorbet cardstock. The leaves are stamped onto spring moss with ripe avocado ink and cut out. I threaded the big berry sorbet button with spring moss satin ribbon and tied a tag on with cream twine. Viola card done!!
I'm off now to play with the camera!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

Raspberry Suite color challenge #14

Hey there!! I am rushing to get this done so I can get out the door.... I am on my way out of town and wanted to make sure I posted my raspberry suite challenge #14. I actually had fun with these colors....... I made a few cards but this is the one I will go with. If I had more time I would post all of them but I'll save them for later. The only plum pudding I had was ribbon, ink & patterned paper so I had to keep that in mind as I was creating.... guess what I put in my cart at papertrey ink???? you guessed it...plum pudding cardstock!!!! I tell myself every month that I need to catch up and get the things I don't have but the new products released each month have been awesome. I think I can do a little catch up this month tho.... I only want one of the stamp sets for sure ... I think I can wait on the others. I'm going to put the details at the bottom of the post so I can get out the door......

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

card patterns sketch #27

Hi all!! Here's my take on the cardpatterns sketch #27. I went for an almost monochromatic scheme here. I wanted to used my summer sunrise buttons and it just went from there. The colors on this card remind me of a cake my Mom made for a couple that had just got married years ago. I was only about four or five but I never forgot that cake!! It was cream frosting with all these little sunflowers all over it. Don't know what made me think of that!!

All supplies are from papertrey ink. I had to use my everyday button bits... hope you are not sick of it yet but boy do I love this set!! The summer sunrise buttons are a little peachier (? is that a word?) than the usual summer sunrise color but I like the bit of contrast. I added a bit of diamond stickles to a couple of my buttons to give a little extra pep. I stamped the large flourish of the fancy flourishes set in vintage cream on the background before I adhered the image. You can't really see it in the photo but I really like the subtle effect of it. Well I'm off to go work on a few more things!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

mojo monday 98

Happy Friday!!! I am so ready for the weekend.. It has been raining for two days and I am praying it clears up soon!! I am a sunshine kind of girl!! I was able to get a little mojo goin' tho.. I flipped the sketch and used my new favorite stamp set that came in the mail yesterday, everyday button bits from papertrey ink. I love this set!! When I first saw it on release night I thought it was well.. a little.. ummm I don't know what word to use.. so I'll say not me... so I didn't order it and then it sold out. It is one of those sets that had to grow on me and then I couldn't hardly wait to get it!! I have been having a blast!!! Those berry sorbet buttons are my fav of all the colors (at least right now they are... next week it might be another color!! lol) Sorry about the picture.... between the rain and my idiot camera I couldn't take a good picture for nothin'!! It even looks crooked but it's not IRL. I did order a new camera... should be here next week... nothin' fancy... but I went with an olympus this time... we'll see how I like it!!
On to my card.... I used all papertrey ink again...... the image and the sentiment is from the everyday button bits set... I love this set! oh yea I already said that!! I'll just give the details below and spare you all the chit chat!!!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!!

card patterns sketch #26

Hi all!! I've been trying to upload this card for a couple of days but we have been having thunderstorms here off and on. I love thunderstorms!! They are awesome and scary at the same time!! This card is all papertrey ink except for the flowers. I absolutely love how this card turned out. I haven't used aqua mist and spring moss together for quite awhile and when I made this card the other day I was in the mood for a softer feel and these colors fit the bill. I was inspired by the papertrey ink's senior design teams challenge on August first to use four or more patterns on a card. I was wanting to stamp that night but didn't really have a card in mind so I just stamped a bunch of different patterns on a bunch of strips of paper. It was really therapeutic!! You should try it!! No particular card in mind but I still stamped a bunch for later use... and then I saw the cardpatterns sketch for the week and thought PERFECT!! I am patiently waiting for the mailman to bring me my new pti order... it has the every day button bits in it and I can't hardly wait to ink it up!!!

thanks for looking and have a great day!!
