another through the trees

Hello! I have another through the trees card for you. I really can't get over how much I love this set! I have made so many cards from this set it is unreal! I can't share most of them just yet so thought I'd do a quicky card just for those of you that need a little eye candy. Sorry for my bad picture ... I really am a terrible photographer! When I take pics of my grandkids I take TONS hoping that at least a few will turn out!
This card is pretty straight forward ... I used the heart from the simple valentine set so that it would match the sentiment. I am totally in love with the spring moss polka dot paper that came in the pretty pastels pack just released. I need a pad of just this paper! :)   I need to make this short so I can get some errands done....
as always....
Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

papertrey ink blog hop

Hi friends!  Time for another papertrey ink blog hop. This months challenge was called the "total package". The challenge is to not only make your card or project but finish the inside and the envelope as well. This is the first time I ever did the inside of my card with something other than a sentiment... and I think I am addicted. It was so much fun to go beyond just the front of the card. Here is what I came up with.....

I couldn't resist using the through the trees set. This is my favorite set from the January release. The set has so many possibilities! The inside sentiment is from the "remember" set. On the front of the envelope I used one of the frames from vintage label. I will post the details below to save time...
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

card patterns sketch #47

I haven't played with a card patterns sketch for a few weeks so thought I'd play along. Card patterns was the first challenge blog of any kind that I tried. I even made the guest designer awhile back and the super six a couple of times. They always have great sketches and the dt always has tons of inspiration.

I was in a whimsical,  playful mood while I was making this card. I totally love these colors and the card came together quite quickly. The turquoise polka dot paper is from the house of 3 simply amazing kit. I love the papers in this kit! I want to use them on every card! The image is from the brand spankin' new set from Papertrey ink called through the trees. This is one awesome tree set and I think they need to do a companion set :) Just my opinion mind you! I have already just tonight made three cards with it! This particular tree comes in two pieces so you can stamp the tree in one color and the leaves in another. I will post the deets below to save my rambling on and on .......

Once again.. thanks for looking and have a great day!

moxie fab-u-licious tuesday trigger

It's time for another moxie fab-u-licious tuesday trigger! I am becoming addicted to these triggers and this weeks trigger "I feel pretty in turquoise and gold" just screamed at me! I could not make up my mind what I wanted to do! Usually I have to think about it for awhile but I had so many things going thru my head I couldn't hardly settle down! I knew I wanted to use the "on my couch" set from papertrey ink but I wasn't sure what to use for the wallpaper I had in my head. So I go out to check the mail and my papertrey ink order from release night was here!!! yay!! I ripped open my box and dumped it all on the floor to look at each and every item I ordered and when I saw the petal power background set  I said "that is it!" So one of the images in the set is what I used for the wallpaper. I even broke out my neglected gold embossing powder and heat gun for this one :)  I found a piece of scrap paper in my stash that was from sei a year or so ago. I stamped my couch in dark chocolate ink. I stamped and meticulously cut out the lamp, table & picture. I colored just a few things as close to turquoise as I could get and mounted with dimensionals over my wallpaper. I used a rectangle spellbinders die to emboss a rectangle around the image and mounted my "room" over the rectangle. The sentiment is stamped in dark chocolate.

As always thanks for looking and have a great day!

moxie fab tuesday trigger is bloomin'

Well, after being on a roll for the first week of the year wouldn't you know it I got icky sicky! I am feeling better and had a chance to play with the moxie fab tuesday trigger this week. My great leap of inspiration came as I was getting in bed last night  to go to SLEEP.... I had this idea and had to get up and get it done! It actually only took me less than a half hour to finish this card.......

...with a BIG cabbage flower! I used scraps for this card and my spellbinders blossom dies. I just started with spring moss for the largest bloom, kiwi kiss for the next, ripe avocado and plum pudding for the purple. I crinkled them all up and took my plum pudding ink pad and rubbed it over all the blooms. I stuck a brad in the middle to hold it all together and put a little bling in the middle. I added the leaf ribbon for the stem and the sentiment stamped with plum pudding. I scored two lines with my scor-pal above and below the sentiment for a little texture.

I am off.....
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

mojo monday sketch #120

Happy Friday! I decided to play along with the mojo monday sketch this week. I am going to keep it short and sweet today so I will post the deets below. I had this image from the everyday button bits set already in my stash of scraps that I wanted to use up so decided to use that as my focal point. The rest of the card just evolved around the image. I curved the sentiment on my block so it would fit the circle image. I used the background basics:diamonds with vintage cream ink on the spring moss paper.

I am off to finish printing out my new kit "simply amazing" that I just got at house of three...... I'm telling you it is luscious! The papers are awesome!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

cps 148

So far I am off to a good start this New Year... but it's only the 5th :) I have been on a card making roll the last few days and managed to get a few things done including this weeks card positioning systems sketch #148.

Here is what I came up with:

I have been making a ton of birthday cards ... trying to get ready for the new year. I send each on of the ladies in our church a birthday card and that is no small feat.... on top of baby, encouragement, sympathy etc...
I used the blooming button bits set from papertrey ink on this one. I love that saying.. happy, happy, joy, joy... could be used for really anything ... weddings, baby, new house ... you just have to think outside the box.

I also wanted to take this time to thank all of you who leave me comments here on my little ole' blog. Sorry if I don't always respond ... I really try but my computer time is limited and to tell you the truth I am VERY shy! I never really know what to say. So be patient and know that I really am grateful and will try to do better this year at showin' more love!

As always, Thanks for looking and have a great day!

moxie fab tuesday trigger again!

So while I had everything on my desk with these colors I decided I needed to make a sympathy card to have on hand for a friend whose father is expected to pass away soon. I thought these colors were perfect for a sympathy card...... very soft and serene.

I had the embossed leaf piece already to go from another project and just thought I would go from there. This card took me all of maybe 10 minutes and that was only because I had to die cut the tag and thread the ribbon thru. The most painstaking effort for the card! I used the left over butterflies from my last card because, ummm I punched too many!!??  ;) I will list all the deets below as I want to get back to what I was doing since I'm on a roll!

Have a great day !!

iT'S A nEW yEAR WITH mOXIE fAB

It's a brand new year and after a relaxing weekend away with my man I nestled myself into my studio to get some serious craftin' done. When I first saw this picture of this week's moxie fab challenge I thought "great I have nothing sea worthy for this one!"  Then I panicked because it was already sunday evening and I didn't even have a plan. Then I decided I would just take the colors for a spin... and this is what I came up with...

I have been wanting to use this adorable bicycle from hero arts ever since I got it in the mail last week. I stamped it in aqua mist and clear embossed. I used the spellbinders labels eight dies to cut out the bicycle and a piece of cream that I ran thru my cuttlebug with the swiss dot folder. I added a piece of vintage lace to the back of the die cut and layered onto a vintage cream card base. I stamped the sentiment from everyday button bits from papertrey ink in aqua mist inkThe butterflies are punched out of lemon tart cardstock. I will list the supplies below......

As always..... Thanks for looking and have a great day!
